Wendy Gervais is an Edmonton, Alberta artist creating a variety of visual art forms.
Her two dimensional abstractions of aerial cityscapes and life-size clothing likenesses, realistic drawings of historical city homes, and collages representing road trips and flowing rivers are all connected to her social and visual observations and attentiveness.
Wendy works on her diverse series of artwork in her studio in a community building where she has been resident artist for several years. She has an active career as an educator in the visual and dance arts in Edmonton providing projects, classes, lectures and workshops for adults and children at the community level as well as in gallery, non-profit venues and elementary and post-secondary school settings. She is an active advocate for education in the arts and is involved with the arts and broader communities with various programming and fundraising activities. Presently she is involved in local performative collaborations as a visual artist and dance artist.
